To process any online transaction we require a valid telephone number to allow our staff to verify the order and to contact you, if necessary, regarding any significant issues with your order. |

Why do you require my e-mail address? |

We require your e-mail address in order to facillitate contacting you regarding your order, supplying you with order confirmation or to inform you of item availability issues. We also need your e-mail address in order to supply you with tracking information for your order sent directly via the Canada Post On-line Shipping Tool. We will not give out your e-mail address to anyone else, and we will not send you junk e-mail. We do occasionally (but not often) send notifications about items we feel would be of interest to you. You can opt out of this service by contacting us at any time. |

What if the item I purchased is not available? |

If the item is not available your credit card will not be charged. Due to the unique nature of items on the website we cannot always guarantee that the item ordered is available for sale at the time of the order. You will be contacted by a staff member via e-mail or telephone to confirm availability. |

Are your arts and crafts authentic Inuit-made? |

All of the arts and crafts offerings available on our web site are hand-made by Inuit artisans residing in the hamlet of Pangnirtung, Baffin Island, Nunavut. Every hand-crafted item comes with two tags of authenticity, our own Uqqurmiut tag and the official Government of Canada "Igloo" tag, certifying Inuit authenticity. Items are made either directly in the production facilities of the Uqqurmiut Centre for Arts & Crafts or in the private homes of Inuit women and men.

Do you track visitor IP's? |

We track IP (Internet Protocol) addresses through our web host. This practice has been implemented solely to help prevent Internet credit card fraud. We do not disclose or sell any information gathered on this site, and IP tracking is no exception. |

What is the Uqqurmiut refund policy? |

The Uqqurmiut Centre for Arts & Crafts does its best to provide you with an accurate assessment of items through clear digital photographs and a detailed description.
All packages sent are insured through the shipping company. In case your products are damaged during shipment, please take note of this right away, take a digital picture if possible, and keep the original packaging, including your tracking information and contact us within two business days.
In the case that your item requires warranty or return please contact us via our online contact from. You will be given a Tracking Number. At this time you will also be given instructions on how to ship the item(s) back to Uqqurmiut Centre for Arts & Crafts. We will repair, replace, or refund at our discretion once we determine the condition of the faulty product. Returns will not be accepted without this Tracking Number.
Return shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. |

Can I use my Gift Certificate Online? |

Gift certificates can only be redeemed through our online e-store. The value of the gift certificate can be used against the cost of purchasing any item available on this site. If the value of the certificate exceeds the price of the item purchased the remaining balance will be available as a credit for future purchases.
